West Woodland Elementary School Leadership Announcement

Dear West Woodland Community, 

I am pleased to announce Dr. Kelly Vancil as the next principal of West Woodland Elementary School.  

He will begin the role as principal on July 1, 2025. 

Dr. Vancil was selected through a formal interview process with the participation of school staff and families. He is excited to return to West Woodland where he will bring his deep commitment to working with the staff and community to foster equitable access to exceptional learning experiences for all students.  

I want to express my thanks to Dr. Cornetta Mendoza for accepting the interim principal position and for her leadership at West Woodland this year. 

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Vancil back to West Woodland Elementary!
