PTA Board Meeting

October 14, 2025, 6:30 pm

The West Woodland PTA meets monthly to discuss PTA business, events, and plans for the school. We also have a Community Meeting twice a year where we report out on the budget and state of the school. Meetings are open to the West Woodland community.

What is the PTA? The PTA is a fun, welcoming space where parents, caregivers, teachers, and staff come together to share ideas, stay informed, and help shape the school experience for all our kids. You’ll get the inside scoop on upcoming events, school initiatives, and ways to get involved that fit your schedule (yes, even if you’re super busy!).

What does the PTA actually do? You might be surprised! Here are just a few things we help make happen:

Fundraising for our instructional grant, including curriculum, extra teaching assistants, the school nurse, and classroom needs
Supporting arts programs and before/after school enrichment
Organizing the annual Talent Show, picnics, Field Day, and Bike Rodeo
Coordinating school supply orders to make back-to-school easier
Hosting teacher appreciation events and fun family nights like game nights and potlucks
Pitching in for campus improvements and classroom resources
Legislative advocacy work with the District & State, and Race & Equity programming & advocacy
And so much more!

Why come?

Meet other parents and staff in a relaxed setting
Learn what’s happening behind the scenes at school
Discover easy ways to support your child’s education
We’d love to see you there—no RSVP required, just bring your curiosity and good vibes! Questions? Email presidents@westwoodlandpta.org
