    Q. Will there be food available?
    A. We are so grateful for our wonderful community and are thrilled to have HECHO and RIDGE PIZZA providing food, and TOP POT DONUTS providing dessert and coffee for our event. The cost of food is included in your ticket.

    Q. What types of Drinks will be available?
    A. We are fortunate to have REUBEN’S BREWS providing beer at our GALA this year. Thanks to the LIEDHOLM family, we will also be offering red & white wine, as well as bubbly. All beer and wine are included in the cost of your ticket. We will also have a couple of signature cocktail options, boozy slushies from HECHO and a righteous mixed cocktail from WILDWOOD SPIRITS a which will be available for a drink ticket. Drink tickets will be sold at the registration table at the Gala for $5/each or 5 for $20.

    Q. Are Food and Drink Free?
    A. Yes & No… There will be plenty of free delicious appetizers and dessert available at the Gala. Beer, wine, water, & coffee are also included with the price of your ticket. However, the cost of signature cocktails will be $5. Again, you can only purchase cocktails with drink tickets. Drink Tickets will be available the night of the Gala at the front table.

    Q. Will there be entertainment?
    A. We are totally excited to pump-up-the-jam to Ballard’s own, DJ Vinnie, whom is known to mix killer 80’s beats. AND... Everyone will be, like, totally excited to know that we will have the Arrythmatics back on the Leif Erikson Stage. It will be totally radical!

    Q. What should I wear?
    A. Our theme is West Woodland Rocks the 80’s! What was the 80’s for you? Are you thinking hard rock, punk rock, pop rock... aerobics, Breakfast Club, or being a maniac on the dance floor? The possibilities are endless. Wear what you want to feel comfortable and to have fun... anything goes!

    Q. Is there parking?
    A. There is street parking around the Leif Erikson Lodge, but we also encourage you to consider taking a cab, using Uber or Lift, or carpooling with a designated driver. There will be plenty of fun to be had at the Gala and we want to make sure everyone is safe!

    Q. Are children invited?
    A. The Gala is an adult-only event. No one under the age of 21 will be allowed to attend the event.

    Q. Is childcare provided?
    A. To support the community and to ensure we have a great, worry-free time, Kids, Inc. is offering childcare for children 3 years and older (potty trained) the night of the Gala. A movie, snacks (not dinner), & activities will be provided from 6:30 - 11:00pm for $35/child. Space is available on a first come, first served basis. Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to the event or all charges will still apply. Please call or email to reserve your spot.     Q. Will there be fundraising at the Gala?
    A. Yes! Not only do we know how to throw a great party, let’s not forget this event is a fundraiser. We will be raising the remaining $30,000 needed to meet our 2017/2018 PTA budget obligation. Again, we are incorporating a silent auction and raffle. The raffle is courtesy of Ballard Orthodontics. Tickets will be available for $20/each or 6 for $100. During the evening, we’ll take a moment and ask you to consider a donation. Please bring your check book, credit card, or cash and support all the awesome programs the PTA supports at West Woodland Elementary.

    Q. Can I donate at the Gala, instead of online when I buy my ticket?
    A. Yes, there will be multiple opportunities to donate at the event

    Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
    A. Checks are preferred, but credit cards and cash are happily accepted

    Q. Do you accept corporate matching?
    A. Yes, we accept (and encurage pursuit of) corporate matches. To do so, your company will most likely need some tax information. Please check out our Corporate Matching page for more information.

    Q. Can I recieve a tax receipt for my donation?
    A. Yes. Your contribution is 100% tax deductible. This downloadable Tax Reciept Letter is the receipt for your donation. You are responsible for filling out the correct amount donated. Please note, Ticket costs are NOT deductible. Only donation amounts given beyond the ticket prices are deductible. If your bid wins an auction item, only the difference between the value of the item and the price paid is deductible.

    Q. Do you have sponsorship spots available? I want to sponsor the event. Who do I contact and what does that mean?
    A. Yes. You can contact the gala team at the below email address. Your sponsorship can cover decorations, DJ, photo booth, etc. Your company logo will be included in our promo posters that will be around school and our DJ will be sure to give you a shout out or two at our event!

    Online ticketing for the Gala ends Thursday April 26th BUT you can still purchase tickets at the door ($45 a ticket). We accept payment by check, credit card or cash.
