    K-2 is being offered on 2/12 and 4/23

    3-5 is being offered on 2/16 and 4/25.

    Sign Up Now: Safety Skills and Self-Defense Classes

    We are thrilled to offer free safety skills & self-defense classes for students. These parent/child classes help children learn safety skills in an age-appropriate setting. There are two different classes offered:

    Free Safety Skills and Self Defense for Kids Grades K-2: This 90-minute class will be offered on February 12 and April 23, from 6:00 – 7:30pm in the gymnasium at West Woodland Elementary. Topics include using your voice as a safety tool, moving away from possible problems, listening to "uh-oh" feelings, and more. Parents should attend with their children. The last 15 minutes of the class is oriented towards parent education. To learn more and sign up, click here.

    Free Safety Skills and Self Defense for Kids Grades 3-5: This two-hour class will be offered February 16 and April 25, from 6:00 – 8:00pm in the gymnasium at West Woodland Elementary. Topics include how to be aware and calm, identifying trusted-adults, personal boundaries, avoiding peer pressure, and more. Parents should attend with their children. The last 15 minutes of the class is oriented towards parent education. To learn more and sign up, click here.
