Spanish Club!!!
Hello! My name is Courtney Butorac and I am a new resource room teacher here at West Woodland. I am excited to start a Spanish Club at West Woodland, as I ran one at my old school, Lafayette, for 5 years. I teach through song, movement and games. We also have fiestas and celebrate the culture of Latin America. A little about me: I grew up with Spanish in my school, like West Woodland and developed a great love for the language and culture. I lived and worked in South America for 1 ½ years and speak Spanish fluently. My husband lived in Mexico for 2 years and we spend a great deal of time down there. I have been teaching Spanish for the last 10 years and love it! If you are interested in enrolling your child in this opportunity, please respond by filling out the bottom portion and returning it to my box, giving it to your child’s teacher, or emailing me at comartorana@seattleschools.org. Class fill up quickly and it is first come, first serve. Please return by September 25th. Class starts on the 2nd of October!
Cost: $130 for advanced students (45 minute classes) and $150 for beginner students (hour long class) for 10 sessions.
Time and Days:
Advanced Students (2nd or 3rd-5th): Tuesday mornings from 8:00 - 8:45 am from October 2nd - December 11th. No classes November 20th.
Beginner students (K-2nd): Tuesdays from 3:05 - 4:05 p.m. from October 2nd - December 11th. No classes, November 20th. Location: Room 110, portable (depending on numbers).

Learn how to pinch, roll, and build a monster, a mystical animal or anything else you might find lurking inside your artistic mind.
Registration: To register, click on the links above, fill in the registration form, attach your check or scholarship form, and return to the school office. Registration forms are also available in the office and on the school website. If there is any problem with your child's registration, you will be contacted immediately.
