We're off and running! West Woodland's primary fundraiser, the Annual Appeal, began last week. You received your Orange Card at Curriculum Night and from now through October 11th, you'll be hearing a lot about the campaign. The Annual Appeal is our primary fundraiser. You won't be asked to sell anything – no wrapping paper, no cookie dough, no kidding! Your donation supports every child.

WE ARE INNOVATORS • SCHOLARS • SCIENTISTS • ARTISTS • TEACHERS • COMMUNITY

What's it like to release a salmon fry into the wild? Our first-grade students participating in the salmon program get to experience this while raising their very own salmon in our school's fish tank. This program includes classroom instruction as well as field trips to Carkeek park to observe salmon habitat, spawning and release. The West Woodland salmon program is funded by the PTA and enhances students' science education. It encourages them to be stewards of the environment and teaches them to consider how human development affects natural cycles. Your donation supports the scientist in every child!

The 2018-19 Annual Appeal is complete. Thank you for your support!
